An open pavilion with a curling roof

This open-sided pavilion combines a tall, pointed roof with supports that twist upward like curling branches. Its rich amber-brown palette stands out against the muted greens and gray stones around it. The roof edge undulates instead of forming a straight line, and small overlapping shapes cover its surface. Beneath it, a raised platform holds a bench and decorative railing, while a short flight of steps offers a direct approach from the rocky ground. The open center keeps the pavilion visually light despite the prominent roof. Large, mature trees surround the structure, creating a layered frame of trunks, branches, and leaves. Their natural irregularity echoes the pavilion’s curved supports, so the building appears visually connected to its setting without disappearing into it. Stones placed around the base provide a rough border, while the carefully arranged platform and steps introduce clearer geometry. There is no enclosing wall to interrupt the view through the pavilion; instead, the roof and railings define a sheltered-looking gathering space through shape and placement alone.
