A mirror framed by a wide-eyed character

A tall mirror is enclosed by a beige frame with a pair of large eyes perched on top. Wavy arms extend from either side, and two rounded feet support the frame below, giving the whole arrangement the appearance of a standing character. The central reflective opening remains broad and unobstructed, so the frame’s playful outline surrounds rather than replaces the mirror. Its pale, warm color blends with the wooden vanity, while the oversized eyes provide the strongest point of contrast. The composition is almost symmetrical: the eyes sit above the center, the frame curves down evenly, and the two feet anchor it at the bottom. Small differences in the curling arms prevent the silhouette from feeling rigid. Nearby bottles and a dish offer scale and place the object within a vanity setting, but they remain secondary to the mirror’s unusual outline. Daylight and the reflected room add depth through the open center. The familiar rectangular mirror function is suggested by its reflective surface, while the surrounding form supplies the visual character.
