Cables converge over a forested chasm
A suspended walkway runs from the lower foreground toward distant towers, narrowing sharply as it crosses a deep, wooded chasm. Long cables rise diagonally from both sides of the frame and converge toward the far end, creating a strong perspective effect. The deck is busy with small figures, whose varied colors form a dotted line along the center. Against the broad cliffs and forest, the people appear small, helping convey the scale of the crossing without shifting attention away from its structure.
The composition is almost symmetrical: cables fan outward on either side, while the walkway holds the middle. That orderly geometry contrasts with the rough rock faces and uneven tree cover around it. A soft, clouded sky keeps the upper portion of the image calm, allowing the cable lines to remain clear. The distant towers mark a visual destination, though the image focuses on the length of the route rather than what lies beyond it. The repeated lines make this scene feel more enclosed and directional than the open panoramic viewpoints elsewhere in the collection.
